A SUMMER FULL OF BUTTERFLIES

                                                                        

This summer has been a summer full of butterflies. I do not remember ever seeing so many.

It has been a pleasure to walk the trails and watch them fluttering from flower to flower. Some were posers, others not so sociable, and although I took many a photograph, only a few were sufficiently in focus to merit publication.

I am no  expert and do not know the name of any but the most common: swallowtails,  red admirals, fritillaries, whites.. Some were doubtless moths rather than butterflies, but   whatever they were, the enjoyment they gave was immense.
